2023 is a year for The Crossing Church to Advance
We want to advance the Kingdom of Heaven here in the Tampa Bay area. We believe the Lord is equipping us to advance in every circle of influence of society this year. This means we are moving forward with purpose in our individual relationships with the Lord, our family relationships, our relationships within our church community, and our relationships within every other sphere of our society. We will impact our communities not by force or manipulation; but by bringing His presence and love into every area of influence that we have.
Intercession: This is the year to advance in intercessory prayer. Just as the Father sent Jesus to earth, Jesus sends us into the earth (John 20:21). Jesus was the redemptive work of intercession and our prayers of intercession are an extension of that completed work now on earth.

Pray that our prayer life will advance this year.
Pray that we will move beyond the kind of intercession where we are only conscious or overly conscious of the dark forces and strategies of the enemy, and move into an intercession where we go into heaven, see the counsel of God, and release His decrees on earth. Pray that we bring the will of God to earth as it is in heaven (Mt 6:10).

Pray that we will be known as a people of prayer. That intercession for every mountain of influence will become a priority in our life.
Isaiah 56:7 (NIV) these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. Pray that we become a house of prayer for the nation.
Psalms 2:8 (NIV) Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. Ask for our nation to become an inheritance, we are asking for unprecedented faith that a nation can be saved.
Equipping: This year we want to be a people who are advancing and becoming more equipped spiritually, in our professions, and in our areas of influence in society.
Pray that we will become so hungry for God’s Word that we push away the plate and feast on every word that comes from the mouth of God. (Mt. 4:4) Pray that we make fasting a normal part of our life.
Pray that we will seek out spiritual growth and become motivated to learn more about the things of God.
Pray that in every area of our life (family, finances, work, ministry, etc.) we will seek wisdom that is revealed by Holy Spirit. 1 Cor 2:6-10 (NIV) 6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him— 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
Pray for God's solution to every problem or obstacle we face.
Pray for the self-discipline and motivation to become continuous learners.
