Sabbatical is a Biblical Principle |Week 2 | What makes us tick?

Sabbatical is a Biblical Principle

Jesus said, we would do even greater things than he did!

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

John 14:6-14 NIV

8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Matthew 10:8 NIV

He tells us to Believe…not in what we can do…but in what he can do…in and through us BY HIS SPIRIT!

6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

Zechariah 4:6 NIV

Jesus desires to Unburden our lives.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

Words of Knowledge

  • We believe, for the Church as a whole, the Lord gave us the word- Obedience.  The word was seen in big black bold large letters!  Like a flashing sign.

  • We believe that our teachers need to be encouraged. They have what it takes. They are good enough. You will succeed. When the disciples in Acts 2 were empowered by the Holy Spirit, they were able to be successful. The church exploded in growth. Teachers, you carry the Presence of God. You will be successful. Also, there was a teacher that had a serious issue this week with a student. The Lord is saying to you, “Watch how I will turn it around this year.”

  • We believe that God is wanting to restore callings that we walked away from long ago. We have been held back by shyness and fear, but those are excuses from the past. Lies that are meaningless to us now. We need to go back to where we were once called.

  • We believe there is an older woman who has been laid out on the floor weeping tears of grief. You are mourning for someone close to you. Maybe a family member. The Lord revealed that blood was shed wrongfully. We believe the Lord is saying today that you can forgive yourself and the other person that you felt was involved. It’s not your fault, you’ve cried long enough, I’m going to restore your heart and I’m going to give you peace today if you’re willing to receive it.

  • We believe someone is feeling completely unseen. You are seen and loved. The Lord has not abandoned you, but has walked through this time with you.

  • “It’s time to be selfish about your time with Me,” says the Lord. “Don’t let anyone pull you out of My presence when you have committed to giving that time to Me.” Get serious about uninterrupted time with Him so that He has your complete and undivided attention. Be selfish. Be still. Listen for what He has to say to you.

  • We believe the Lord is setting people free of anxiety, restlessness, and crippling insecurity.

  • We believe the Lord is setting people free of heaviness.

  • We believe God wants to refresh those who are dry and pouring out from a place of apathy.

  • We believe the Lord is healing high cholesterol.

  • We believe someone is dealing with neck/spine pain: feels like someone is pulling your neck in opposite directions. The Lord wants to heal you today.

  • We believe the Lord wants to heal infirmities that are bringing pink eye, ear troubles, even dizzy spells, memory loss, foggy brain, or moments of no clarity.

  • We believe the Lord is healing back pain, specifically lower back & scoliosis

  • We believe there is a man/boy that needs healing of pelvic pain in the left side due to a hernia or gastrointestinal issues. The Lord wants to heal you today.
