Fast Day 13
Acts 3:19-20 (NKJV)
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
Repent means to have a change of mind, followed by a change of direction. At salvation there is repentance from sin and a lifestyle change that comes (Acts 2:38), but there is ongoing repentance or turning in another direction that keeps us moving closer and closer to God’s heart and his desire for our lives.
In Acts 3:19-20 we see that repentance from sin in our lives is connected to an amazing promise “…that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
God wants to bring refreshing through this time of fasting, therefore let’s take some time to examine our hearts and see if there are areas in our lives that we need to repent.
Prayer Focus
Ask the Lord to reveal anything in your heart that requires repentance. Psalm 139:23-24
Pray that God will bring refreshment to your spirit, soul, and body during this time of your fast.
