Word for the church 2024

There is a sifting going on in the natural and the supernatural across the world. This is not a doom and gloom word to cause fear. It's about the Holy Spirit igniting our faith afresh by calling up the precious from the worthless things in our lives. I was directed to Luke 22:31-32 where Jesus told Peter and the disciples, “Satan has asked to sift all of you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” I see many wounded warriors scattered about, isolated on a real spiritual battlefield right now. God would not call us to withdraw into silos but to get into a good place with God then go strengthen one another.

The body of Christ around the world is in need of warriors, not warriors. The Crossing Church is battle tested. You are one of those churches being called to run to the battle in times of sifting rather than running away. You have a call to build bridges from people to God and to pursue unity among his people. I see you building bridges between divided families, churches, spiritual leaders, denominations and different people groups.

I hear a timely scripture for you in this season of sifting. Isaiah 62:10 says, “Go through, go through the ancient gates. Clear the way for the people; Build up, build up the highway, remove the stones, lift up a banner over the people.” I see timely directives in these action verbs.

1.        Go through the ancient gates and summon the Exiles to return to a restored city. (This is about including people in God's house in unity, not excluding them by divisions.)

2.         Remove the stones. (This is about getting rid of obstructions like offenses, unforgiveness and bitterness. This will smooth the path and build up a spiritual highway for people to take the gospel of freedom on.)

3.        Lift up a banner. (Rally around Jesus, who is our banner. Raise up a standard that people on the battlefield can see and rally around.

I hear a call for a Joshua 3/5 season to set ourselves apart to serve God in a fresh way: “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among us.” The Crossing Church must not settle for duct tape solutions during this anxious time. It's time to run to the battle to strengthen our brethren in the body of Christ. Start with prayer and worship. The Holy Spirit will show you what to do from there.

2020-2022 were years of shaking everything that could be shaken. The Holy Spirit has been doing a preparing work in you. It's time to focus on realignment, repositioning, and revival as you move into a new season of harvest. I saw an increase in baptism: both water and spirit.  

A realignment of roles and responsibilities to better serve your vision is needed. It's time to reflect a connection to where life is being experienced now. Determine to move on from where life had been and move toward where life is currently. Honor the past but don’t be overly nostalgic about what has gone before. It’s a new day! Projects and programs that served you well in the past may need to be updated to serve where God is leading to now.

2023 is a transition year from one field of harvest to a new field of harvest. The new field is larger and broader with more room for you. Set your aim to embrace 2024 with the roles and responsibilities realigned with your current vision going forward. I hear “Expansion”. I see Isaiah 54:2-4 as a timely verse for you: “Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.” (NLT)

You have crossed the rapids of a turbulent river in these past months.  As you moved forward the waters have grown more smooth. Still a little ripple here and there but more smooth. It's a time to take stock of supplies and put your resources in order. I had a picture of a river barge loaded down with food, equipment, medical supplies, and water.  The barge was making stops along the river to give resources to people and to take on new supplies and new passengers. You are becoming a shipping and supplies resource church.  I sense of Lords pleasure as you cast your bread upon the waters. And I see delight on your faces as God gives back more than you gave away. I saw Luke 6:38 painted on the side of your boat in big bold letters, “Give and  it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.  For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”  

The rapids, I believe, represents resistance to the vision of this house.  The river represents forward movement.  Luke 6:38 gives direction, focus and fuel for becoming a resource church to other churches, tribes, tongues, and people in nations.  No matter what resistance you face keep moving forward.  Avoid political conflict with other churches, just don't get sucked into it. Refuse to be divided by doctrines of demons, just call them what they are and say get out of here. Just be who you are. Just give what you've been given. Just keep going where God sends you and saying what He tells you.  It's your time to show and tell the gospel of the Kingdom to all who will hear and see.  I heard a verse that the whole church, old and young had adopted to memory, being sung in your songs, and impressed on your kids.  From the message translation, Proverbs 11:24 “The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.”  Enlargement is coming in this new season, make sure that you're facing it with generosity of heart and culture.  

I am going to pray for you. Father, I just thank you for this wonderful church. Lord, I thank you for their responsiveness.  I thank you God for their wild goose attitude of just wanting to get out there and let the winds take them where they need to go, whatever resistance comes they're going to move forward.  And I pray God that as they as they get through the last little bit of these rapids, that there will be a smoothness in their journey.  You'll start letting them see where to pull in and dock and where to help this one and that one, and  this church and this people group,  and this situation,  and this conflict.  And that Lord, no matter how much they give and give and give you'll just keep bringing more and more and more so they can give and give and give and you can bring more and more and more that's how it works.  Father let them be like Proverbs 11:2,  let their world get larger and larger because of their generosity.  and they'll realize that the world is stingy only gets smaller and smaller and they're not going to be about stingy, they're going to be about being generous. Bless this church in your name in,  Jesus name Amen

OK, I always pray for churches when I come. Back on July 31st the Lord gave me a word for the whole church. I shared this with your pastor this morning over his house, as we went over and spent some time with he and Tamera. He gave me permission to go ahead and share this word with the church.

 I heard the scripture passage Acts 16:25-26 for The Crossing church. “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake at the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”  As you give yourselves in a fresh way to prayer and worship in this Kairos moment. A Kairos moment is a very special timely moment.  You will see these Acts 16 verse is repeated among you. Spiritual earthquakes or shaking the foundations of our culture causing fear to invade hearts but remember that God has not given you a spirit of fear but a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. As you worship and pray faith will rise to replace fears.  And those around you listening will draw nearer and find freedom. I saw a move of the Holy Spirit building in this area like a wave out in the ocean. As momentum built, I saw waves of refreshing crashing onto the shores of hungry hearts. I saw Cuban people and other island people at the front of a new wave of revival. It's becoming a spiritual awakening. I believe that Florida will become one of the thin places for heaven to break in on earth as it is in heaven. It won't be so much telling about revival but rather showing what revival looks like. It will be a show and tell move, displaying acts of kindness and mercy leading to repentance. And signs and wonders will follow, showing the power and the majesty of God. And there's direction for you from the chapter of Isaiah 42, but especially verses 12 and 13. “Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare His praise in the coastlands. The Lord goes out like a mighty man. Like a man of war, he stirs up his zeal. He cries out, he shouts aloud; he shows himself mighty against his foes.”  You're in a John the Baptist Kairos moment of cooperating with the Holy Spirit to prepare the way of the Lord and to make His paths straight. Be bold in prayer. Be strong in worship, and continue to encourage one another in the Lord for surely a move of the Spirit is about to break across this place.

A fresh wind of change is blowing across your family and the flock you lead together. It’s a time to hold on loosely, to embrace flexibility, in plans and projects as the Lord directs.

I see re-assignments of roles, re-alignments of responsibilities, and re-purposing of structures. These are necessary and timely to reorganize areas that are full of life and areas that no longer bring life-even though they once did.

Your leadership is visionary and forward looking. You weren’t called to maintain, you were called to move when the Spirit says “Move”. A key to forward movement is to follow the favor the Lord is bringing.

You lead as a team together. Walk in unity of vision and purpose. Walk in an unforced rhythm of grace that is healthy for your family.

You are entering a season of transition that will bring about transformation in individuals you lead and the culture around you.

You two are doing better than you think. Be encouraged.

Words for The Crossing Church - From Ps Greg 2021

A Word for the Congregation The world is experiencing many shakings. I am the one who is doing the shaking. Many are experiencing sickness of varying degrees. If you let it, fear that leads to despondency will overcome you and cripple your walk with me. Remember Hebrews 12:27 …everything that can be shaken will be shaken. These days are only the tremors, there is much more to come, but take heart and guard your heart, because I have overcome the world. This isn’t the time for believers to be afraid, set aside your fear, handle your fear, deal with the spirit of fear…for I have not given you a spirit of fear, but one of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 2:17). Buckle up, it’s going to be a ride, don’t be discouraged. It’s time for faith. Let your light so shine before men that they will see your good works and glorify the Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16) It’s time to challenge yourself to exercise your faith. Like resistance training for gaining muscular strength, you decide what areas you are going to train (mind, hands, heart, sight). I am introducing you to various levels of resistance. When you encounter trials, settle yourself in the fact that I am supremely powerful and in control of all things. Lean into any resistance that comes, you will gain new perspectives and your faith will be strengthened. Listen to me and I will show you great and mighty things that you don’t know (Jeremiah 33:3). If you are wondering why I’ve been silent it’s because you have moved away from me. I am able to speak wherever you are, I am everywhere at the same time. However, you have to choose to be in the space I’ve chosen for you to be in, then your ears will hear my voice. I am speaking in the direction of where I am asking you to move. Outside of that space you won’t hear me and you will struggle. I have not left you and I have never forsaken you, run to me and I will protect you. Lighten your load, clear the deck, cleanse your heart and serve me, I will reward you publically. Given 08.09.2021

• Word for the church

I sense the Lord saying over the body that He wants to break the power of darkness and a demonic strategy that has been specifically released against the people of this house. Those who have had demonic dreams out of the blue or have entered depression or anxiety. There has been a specific assignment against the imagination and the soul, there has been a demonic curse and strategy, but God comes to redeem imagination. There will be a releasing of Joel 2 anointing, there is going to be an outpouring of divine dreams, interpretations, and visions in this house in the days that are to come.

You are a level ten kingdom leader. The Lord is inviting you into graduate class kingdom math. You have been through 101 which was a season of subtraction. You have been through 201 which was a season of division and you have been through 301 which was a season of addition. God is bringing you into a graduate level of 401, a season of multiplication and increase. The cry of your heart to God has been, “You have blessed me so much and I’m so grateful, but I don’t feel like I’m done.’ The Lord wants you to know your not done. There is a scripture in Joshua 3 where Joshua is about to lead the children of Israel across the Jordan. It says that you should set out from your place and follow the ark, but you shall keep a distance between you and it. Do not come near it in order that you may know the way that you should go because you have not passed this way before. Joshua told the people consecrate yourselves for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you. The Lord is saying you have always kept the presence of the Lord out in front of you, you have always kept the voice of the Lord a healthy distance ahead, not presuming that you know what to do, but letting the Lord lead you and guide you. That is what has brought you to this place. The last season has been a season where every morning the Lord has provided exactly what you need, but the way that He is about to take you, you have not gone before. It is about to be a season of multiplication and increase, a season of acceleration. I know the church is called the Crossing, but the Lord says get ready because it is about to be known as the Crossings.

The body has a part in this next wave of what God wants to do in this church. The enemy has tried to wear you out, wear you thin to the point where the body feels they have no time and are too tired. “I saw the wind of the Spirit come through this place that gave you energy and direction for the future and it flipped it where the pastors were not having to ask you to volunteer you were beating down their doors saying pastor, I want to do something. This is the best church growth strategy: You get in touch with Jesus and find somebody that needs to be touched by Jesus and you just love on them into relationship with God. When church starts being church outside the church that’s when a region is changed.”

Genesis 26:21- 

 “This is a season for the Crossing where there will be room enough, you will be a room enough kind of people, I see every service packed out, I see you being the kind of people that will storm into the area of Tampa and will be saying we are room enough kind of people, we may be full, but there is still room enough. I hear the Lord saying dig new wells, I sense that there is an evangelistic calling that God is releasing on this church. The things that you have been believing for, crying out for, that you have been worshipping about, God says dig a new well, this is the time there is room enough, there is more than enough for what God is wanting to do in you and through you.” 

• Pastor Greg said he heard the Lord say: “I promise you I will birth sons and daughters in this house who are faithful to Me and there will be a legacy of sons and daughters born here.”

A Spirit of Multiplication is coming on this house, this is something that is already in progress not something to come. In order to step into that multiplication, it will take people having to trust Jesus with their lunch. Give Him your lunch and you will see the Spirit of Multiplication take off in this house in a fresh way.

• A Word for Pastor Greg and the Church

Saw a picture of two strong rivers flowing together to become one mighty river. That river began flowing out across the region and beyond to be a blessing to the nations. I believe the two rivers that I have seen, not only at The Crossing but in other places around the world, represent the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. I am seeing these two streams coming together in this church. This church loves the Word of God and the person of the Holy Spirit. A flow will be found here that will feed and equip the people of God and empower them to do what the Holy Spirit is calling them to do. Where two rivers converge there can be choppy waters, even turbulent waters. As the rivers converge and move downstream there is a steady flow as the river makes its way into the ocean. Don’t get distracted by choppy waters but keep this boat headed down stream toward the goals the Lord has already given you. Be vigilant, stay focused as a mighty flow of the Word and the Spirit go forth from this church.
