The Tithe?

Tithe = First 10% of all that comes into your household given to the Lord 

Why 10%?

Our tendency is to forget?

God owns everything! Genesis 1, Colossians 3, Psalms 2:4,  Psalm 50

God gave us all that we have in the first place!

“Then it shall come about when the Lord your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you, great and splendid cities which you did not build, and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not dig (2 Billion clean drinking water), vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you eat and are satisfied, then watch yourself, that you do not forget the Lord who brought you from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

Why the Church?

The Tithe goes to House of God, where the work of God is done in the world!

The Tithe is a Test of the Heart 

Malachi 3:10 (NIV) 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
