Trouble is here for The Church/Our Nation/Entire World!

Joel 1:4 (NASB) 4 What the gnawing locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten; And what the swarming locust has left, the creeping locust has eaten; And what the creeping locust has left, the stripping locust has eaten.

God is asking for two things in the midst of the coming trouble:

1. Transformation

Joel 2:12-13(NASB)
“Yet even now,” declares the LORD, Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping and mourning; And rend your heart and not your garments.” Now return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness And relenting of evil.

2. Manifestation

  • The Lord will pour out His Spirit on all mankind-Joel 2:18-20

  • Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered/saved-Joel 2:32

  • The Lord will avenge Judah of her enemies and she will be prosperous again-Joel Chapter 3

Leading Principles

Food for everyone in this House

Focus is Fruit not Fighting: Galatians 5:19-26 (NIV) 19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. – Moral Imperative: Illegal/Immoral/Unethical

Change can be Intimidating

·      Many organizations do not articulate a reasonable, achievable post-change vision

·      Many people often mistrust the motivations of leadership for change

·       Many people are predisposed to resist change because the present feels safe and stable
