Resurrected but Still Bound | First Wednesday July 2020
John 11:38-44 (NKJV)
"Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.” Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”
Esther 4:1-4 (NKJV)
”When Mordecai learned of all that had been done, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the city, wailing loudly and bitterly. But he went only as far as the king’s gate, because no one clothed in sackcloth was allowed to enter it. In every province to which the edict and order of the king came, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping and wailing. Many lay in sackcloth and ashes. When Esther’s eunuchs and female attendants came and told her about Mordecai, she was in great distress. She sent clothes for him to put on instead of his sackcloth, but he would not accept them.”
Psalm 51:17 (NKJV)
”My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”
James 5:16 (NKJV)
”Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Galatians 6:2 (NKJV)
”Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
“Father God, I thank you that through the shed blood of Jesus, I can be cleansed and forgiven. I repent for relying on my own strength instead of yours, and for trying to protect myself. I choose to forgive _(name)_____ who through their actions I knowingly or unknowingly made the vow to never trust people again. Lord I ask you to forgive me, I now renounce this vow that I will never trust people again. I break agreement with this vow, and Lord I bring myself back under your authority and protection, help me to continue to build trust with you and others. I ask you, Lord to cleanse me and set me free from the consequences of this vow. In Jesus Name Amen.”
