Promises & Trust

If we’re not careful, that doubt touches everything in our life,

including our relationship with God.

God Never Breaks a Promise

Hebrews 6:17-18 HCSB
“Because God wanted to show His unchangeable purpose even more clearly to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath, so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us.

Titus 1:2 HCSB
“...in the hope of eternal life that God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.”

The First Promise

Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Genesis 3:15 HCSB
“I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.”

The Waiting

Isaiah 7:14
”Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin

Jeremiah 31:31,34
“Look, the days are coming” — this is the Lord ’s declaration — “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. Daniel 9:24-25

Zechariah 9:9

The Promise Fulfilled

Luke 1:26-28,30-33
'In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man named Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end. '

Matthew 1:20-23
'But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit. God Is with us

Luke 2:6-7

We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.'

Isaiah 53:4-5

John 3:16-17
“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One andOnly Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. '
