90 Day Tithe Challenge

1. The Tithe is established in Scripture 

Malachi 3:10 (NKJV)
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house,

1 Corinthians 16:2 (NIV)
On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

Hebrews 7:1-2 (NIV)
This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, his name means "king of righteousness"; then also, "king of Salem" means "king of peace." 

2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (NIV)
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 

2. The Tithe is to remind us that He is our Source  

  • God is the Owner/We are Stewards
  • God is the Giver/We are just reminding ourselves that He is our Source - God gives us the ability to grow/gain

3. The tithe is a Sacrificial First Portion of all that comes into our Home

  • All the Tithe:
    Leviticus 27:30 (NKJV)
    And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S. It is holy to the LORD. – Net/Gross –Taxes - Inheritance
  • First Fruit:
    Exodus 23:19 (NKJV)
    The first of the firstfruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. – First that you receive for the year/Quarter

Proverbs 3:5-10 (NKJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.-Banking/Savings

    "Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether man or animal."

4. The tithe is a reciprocating blessing from your House to God’s House

  • Where: Malachi 3:10 (NKJV)-Bring it to God’s House (On line)
  • When: 1 Corinthians 16:2 (NIV)-Bring it weekly or bi-weekly, monthly
  • How:  Challenge:
    1. Debt (Financial Peace)
    2.    Deception
    3.Devil

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NIV)  
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Start giving and God will start supplying Grace to grow!  

Luke 6:38 (NIV)
Give, and it will be given to you (Grace). A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

5. The Tithe is a Test of the Heart

Malachi 3:6-11 (NIV)
"I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty. "But you ask, 'How are we to return?' "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse--the whole nation of you--because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests (NASB- rebuke the devourer from you) from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD.
