It was a cold, overcast morning on December 10th when the Lord woke me up and began to speak to my heart concerning this CD recording. I had already made my plans for the CD, however, God began to reveal to me what His purpose and plan was. He led me to Proverbs 16: 9, “A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.” I suddenly began to sense “purpose and destiny” for this project but I had not yet grasped what it was the Lord was trying to say to me. As I positioned myself to hear from God that morning, I found myself staring out a large window as large drops of RAIN began to fall and quickly turned into an downpour. THAT’S IT! RAIN! “My people need the rain of my presence now more than ever before” is what I heard the voice of God speak to me. And how do we receive the rain of His presence? ...by positioning ourselves to hear from Him through the Word of God and our Quiet Times with Jesus. That was the inspiration from God for this project. As you hear the SOUNDS OF RAIN throughout this CD, I pray that God would draw you deeper into the secret place like never before.
